Field Notes
There is a difference between altering the living world without regard for it and playing gently with something it has already released. These soft seed heads were grown, gathered, and dried before anyone imagined them in red.
The color does not replace what nature made. It is only a joyful addition—a small collaboration between the form that grew and the person who wondered what else it might wear.
