The wind says nothing. Yet somehow everything answers.
Field Notes
Language may be far less human than we imagine. Every voice is shaped from breath. Every word rides on moving air. The same currents that bend grasses and stir leaves also pass through our lungs and become speech. We did not invent communication from nothing. We learned it while immersed in a world already alive with exchanges. The meadow is not speaking our language. Our language is one small expression of a much older one.
