Sometimes the most honest way through a difficult question is to keep moving inward until we reach the part of us still capable of love.
Field Notes
Most issues arrive wrapped in outer layers: fear, pride, old hurt, certainty, and the instinct to protect ourselves. Reaching the heart does not mean ignoring any of them. It means understanding them well enough that they no longer make every decision for us.
Before we speak, judge, or choose, we can ask where the response is coming from—not whether it merely sounds kind, but whether it is rooted in genuine care for ourselves, for one another, and for the life between us.
