The world becomes more astonishing when we give it our full attention.
Field Notes
A scattered life can be strangely numbing. We move quickly from one thing to another, often seeing only enough to move on.
But attention changes what the world becomes. The longer we stay with something, the more it reveals—strangeness, beauty, pattern, presence. What first appears ordinary can suddenly feel almost unbelievable. Perhaps being fully awake is not about finding a more extraordinary world, but about learning how to notice the one already here.
