Children today have access to extraordinary schools, activities, coaches, tutors, technology, and opportunities. None of those things are inherently bad. But there is one part of childhood that can’t be outsourced: being deeply known by the people raising you. The conversations on the drive home. The slow Saturday mornings. The moments with no lesson attached. Sometimes the most valuable thing a parent can give isn’t another opportunity—it’s simply more of themselves.
