Field Notes
On a hot day, the room feels strangely comfortable despite the absence of any visible cooling system. Living grass covers the floor. Portions of the home are held by the hillside itself. The earth, the shade, and the landscape all seem to participate in the experience of the room. The house does not separate itself from the landscape. It relies on it. What appears at first to be an aesthetic choice gradually reveals itself as infrastructure.
