At some point the home stopped being a place to live and became a place to be seen living.

The bedroom is ready.
The kitchen is ready.
The gym is ready.
The dining room is ready.
The pool is ready.
Every room appears prepared for an audience.
Nothing is wrong.
Nothing is unfinished.
Nothing feels spontaneous.
The house is beautiful.
But beauty isn’t the same thing as intimacy.
The question isn’t whether the house is impressive.
The question is whether anyone still feels at home inside it.
