Many of the systems that sustain life become easier to understand when they stop being separate from daily life.
Field Notes
In most schools, food arrives from somewhere else, water disappears somewhere else, and ecology is taught somewhere else. Here, those systems remain visible. Rain falls where food grows. Food grows where students gather. Lunch becomes a place where production, preparation, and consumption quietly coexist. The lesson is not added to the environment. The environment is the lesson.
