The mind seems to open wherever the world asks almost nothing of us.
Field Notes
There are places that leave enough of our attention untouched for something quieter to arrive. A hand drifting through cool water, the slow widening of circles across the surface, the feeling of time no longer needing to move quickly. Nothing is being solved, and yet something inside us begins to settle.
Perhaps this is why we return to rivers, oceans, empty trails, and long stretches of sky. Not because they give us answers, but because they leave enough room for memory, imagination, and self-reflection to find us on their own.
