Field Notes
We move through life saying it was nothing, I don’t care, it didn’t affect me. Sometimes that is simply how we keep moving. But an experience can disappear from view while its impression remains.
The mark is not weakness, and it does not have to become an identity. It is only evidence that something reached us more deeply than we understood at the time. Healing may begin when we stop minimizing the impression and allow ourselves to notice what is already there.
