Some of the things that bring us closest are light enough to carry alone.
Field Notes
A plastic laundry basket isn’t heavy. Either person could carry it without much effort. But over time, many couples begin sharing small tasks simply because they’re walking the same direction. Carrying groceries. Folding laundry. Bringing things inside before it rains. These moments rarely become memories on their own, yet they quietly become the shape of a life together. Sometimes companionship isn’t measured by the weight we help carry, but by how often we choose to carry it together.
