No pattern repeats itself.
Field Notes
We often mistake repetition for sameness. A forest seems full of identical trees. A flock appears to move as one. A herd dissolves into stripes. But the closer we look, the more difference we find. Nature repeats ideas, never exact forms. Every life carries its own pattern, shaped by countless moments that will never occur in quite the same way again. Perhaps paying closer attention is less about discovering exceptions and more about realizing there were never any copies to begin with.
