Some petals are so beautifully folded that they seem less like something growing and more like something the world has made to be worn.

The delphinium gathers itself in pleats, sleeves, ruffles, and soft blue layers, as though fabric were first imagined by flowers and only later copied by us.
Maybe that is why it inspires the urge to wear it. Beauty becomes especially irresistible when it seems to belong to another life—when we do not only want to look at it, but to come closer, enter its texture, and briefly become part of what we find beautiful.
