Field Notes
The wings are barely there—more like breath, lace, and light than part of a body. Fine black lines cross the transparent surface, while tiny traces of pink and violet gather near the edges, as though color waited until the wing was almost finished to appear.
Maybe beauty does not need weight or permanence to feel complete. Sometimes the most intricate things are also the ones that look as though a single breeze could carry them away.
