Creativity often becomes most alive when we stop asking whether it is impressive and let ourselves love making it.
Field Notes
There is a kind of freedom in becoming absorbed enough to forget how the work might look from the outside. The paint gets on your hands, the colors become excessive, and the process stops behaving like a performance.
Not everything we make has to prove that we are talented, disciplined, original, or serious. Sometimes creativity is simply the part of us that still knows how to play without embarrassment—to follow what feels beautiful, make a mess, and care deeply without caring how it appears.
