Sometimes the body recognizes the need to leave before the mind has decided where it is going.
Field Notes
We are taught to move through life by schedules, explanations, and plans made far enough in advance to appear responsible. But the body has its own intelligence. It notices when the walls have become too close, when routine has stopped restoring us, and when movement might be more useful than another attempt to think our way through.
Not every departure needs to become a new life. Sometimes freedom is simply listening closely enough to take the weekend, pack the car, and follow the road until something inside us begins to soften.
