Sometimes the most meaningful part of a gathering is what people create together without realizing it.
Field Notes
A table is meant for food. A conversation is meant for words. Yet when people spend enough time together, something else begins to emerge. Doodles appear in the margins. Notes are left behind. Small jokes become drawings. Strangers add to ideas they did not start. What remains on the paper is evidence of a third thing—something that belongs to no single person but was created by everyone who was there. Most of life is measured through individual achievement, but some of our richest experiences leave behind a collective trace instead. A friendship, a family, a community, a culture. Not something one person made, but something many people slowly drew into existence together.
