Sometimes a gathering becomes meaningful through the small things people keep handing to one another.
Field Notes
A stem is passed across the table, a jar is steadied, a flower is held up for someone else to notice. None of these gestures is important on its own, yet together they create the feeling of being included in something alive.
Perhaps community is not always built through deep conversation or extraordinary closeness. Sometimes it forms through shared attention—when people briefly care about the same small thing and allow their hands, laughter, and ideas to meet around it.
