Sometimes the most extraordinary things are the easiest to overlook.
Field Notes
The White Ermine moth spends much of its life blending into pale tree bark. Its tiny black spots are often the first clue that something living is there at all.
Sometimes I wonder if other people feel that way too. It’s possible to be unique, thoughtful, creative, or deeply interesting and still feel invisible in the places you find yourself. Being overlooked isn’t always a reflection of what’s there. Sometimes it simply means no one has taken the second look.
Nothing becomes beautiful the moment it’s noticed. The beauty was there all along. Sometimes all it takes is someone willing to look a little longer.
