To one person, four praying mantises on a windowsill might seem unusual. To another, they’re familiar companions with distinct personalities, favorite places to perch, and tiny habits learned over years of patient observation. Nature reminds us that wonder isn’t distributed evenly—it grows wherever we choose to pay attention. The more deeply someone loves something, the more alive it becomes to them. Maybe the goal isn’t to all be fascinated by the same things, but to leave enough room for each other to have worlds of our own.
