Most of us learn where to stop long before we learn where we want to go. We inherit invisible boundaries—how we’re supposed to behave, what is reasonable to feel, how much of ourselves is acceptable to show. But every once in a while, someone follows an experience a little farther than convention allows. Not to impress anyone, and not because danger is the goal, but because curiosity becomes stronger than caution. A life becomes unmistakably our own when we stop asking where everyone else turned around and begin discovering what exists just beyond it.
