She was never empty, foolish, or waiting to be made into someone else. The questions, the wildness, and the way she saw the world were there all along; they simply had nowhere to move.
Freedom did not create her. It did not give her a new nature or turn her into someone extraordinary. It meant finally loosening the roles, expectations, and accepted answers that had taught her to distrust what was already inside her. The world may call us free while still deciding how far we are allowed to go. Sometimes real freedom begins when we stop mistaking those boundaries for our own.
