A shell seems closed, quiet, and complete, but it is really a temporary world: a boundary that protects life while it forms in secret. What appears still from the outside may be full of movement, growth, and pressure within.
That is part of what makes emergence feel so powerful. The structure that once kept a life safe eventually becomes too small to contain it. The first sign of becoming is a crack. Growth turns protection into limitation, and what sheltered life at the beginning must finally give way to what it protected.
