From street level, most ecological infrastructure is invisible. Roads, utilities, and buildings dominate our attention. Yet across Oslo, rooftops increasingly support wildflowers, native plants, and pollinator habitat. Individually, many of these spaces are small. Together, they begin to form a second landscape suspended above the city. The result is not wilderness restored, but something different: a modern urban ecosystem that quietly creates room for other species within the places we already inhabit.
