The flowers seemed to be dancing to something invisible.
Field Notes
Every ecosystem responds to rhythms most of us never notice.
Rainfall.
Light.
Temperature.
Wind.
The garden appears still until the music starts.
What looks chaotic from a distance is often participation up close. The flowers bend. The water ripples. The lilies rise and fall. Each responds differently to the same rain, yet together they create something that feels strangely coordinated.
Perhaps much of life works this way.
Perhaps we are all moving in response to forces we rarely stop to name. Seasons. Relationships. Grief. Wonder. Time.
The flowers do not resist the rain or attempt to control it. They simply join the moment that has arrived.
And somehow, that looks a lot like dancing.
