It is easier to believe everything is simple when we choose a place where almost nothing can ask anything of us.
Field Notes
There is real beauty in stepping away from the noise of the world. Solitude can quiet us and create enough distance to see our lives differently.
But peace found only in emptiness can become its own kind of shelter. The world is also made of relationships, contradictions, responsibility, and grief—things that cannot always be dissolved into one harmonious idea. Sometimes transcendence enlarges our understanding. Sometimes it simply gives us a beautiful place from which not to look back.
