Tomorrow
We hurry toward a future that only ever arrives as now.
Field Notes
Much of our lives are spent somewhere else.
In the conversation we’ll have tomorrow.
The vacation we’re planning.
The promotion we’re chasing.
The version of ourselves we hope to become.
We become so accustomed to looking ahead that the present begins to feel like nothing more than a bridge to another moment.
But every future we’ve ever imagined has arrived the same way.
As now.
