Some things travel farther when shared.
Field Notes
No ant carries the flower. Each carries only a fragment. Yet the flower travels all the same.
The ants never see the whole journey. They carry their piece for a while, then the movement continues. Still, the flower keeps moving through the forest.
Much of the world works this way. Food, knowledge, traditions, languages, and acts of kindness often arrive through countless small contributions, each one seeming insignificant on its own. No single participant is responsible for the entire distance traveled.
What reaches us has often been passed through many hands, many lives, many moments of quiet cooperation. The whole journey belongs to no one, yet it happens because each participant carries their small part of it.
