We often think of the past as fixed, as though every moment means only one thing forever.
But the past is strangely alive.
A conversation that once felt like rejection becomes protection years later. A failure becomes the event that quietly redirected an entire life. Someone we blamed is suddenly understood after learning what they were carrying. New experiences do not only change the future—they change the meaning of everything that came before.
This is why certainty can be so misleading.
We are always interpreting our lives from the place we happen to be standing. As we grow, the picture changes—not because the threads themselves have moved, but because we can finally see how they belong together.
The story was never finished when we thought it was.
