Beans can naturally grow in rose, lavender, cream, burgundy, and patterns that look almost painted. These colors are not novelty or decoration, but genetic diversity preserved through generations of growing and saving seed.
The grocery store gave me one idea of what a bean was. The bean itself had been much more imaginative all along.
