The waterfall had been flowing for thousands of years before anyone arrived with a clipboard.
Yet somewhere along the way, many of us learned that appreciation was incomplete without analysis.
We measure.
Categorize.
Evaluate.
Optimize.
We ask what something does before allowing ourselves to love it.
A forest becomes a resource.
A river becomes a system.
A mountain becomes data.
Even our experiences are increasingly tracked, quantified, and improved.
But some things offer their greatest value the moment we stop trying to extract value from them.
The waterfall does not need a purpose.
Its existence is already enough.
Perhaps not everything is asking to be understood.
Perhaps some things are simply asking to be witnessed.
