Most modern environments are designed around efficiency first.
Speed. Output. Extraction. Optimization.
Human beings are then expected to adapt themselves to those systems.
But ecosystems work differently.
Healthy environments do not maximize one thing endlessly. They balance. They circulate. They leave room for rest, variation, slowness, repair, and relationship.
Imagine a civilization designed more like a living ecosystem than a machine.
Food integrated into daily life. Shared spaces built around beauty and conversation. Children near water. Elders still woven into community. Knowledge placed beside gardens instead of separated from them.
Not utopia.
Just a different set of priorities.
A reminder that many parts of modern life are designed — which means they can also be redesigned.
